Tania has been writing about horses for over 30 years.  She evented at the advanced level, is a rated polo player, an equine appraiser, a horse trainer, teacher, equestrian team coach, consultant and horse finder.  She has foxhunted in many countries.  Her articles and photos have appeared in dozens of newspapers and  magazines.  She has an MA and BA from the University of Michigan in literature and an AAS in Digital Photography.  She is currently based both in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic.  Her home base is Riverbend Farm Sport Horses in Ann Arbor. Olivia Fajen, writing a Fla. blog from Ocala

Olivia is a Freshman at the University of Michigan. She has taken time off from college to go to Florida with three horses to try her luck eventing before settling down to real life once more. She went to Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. She has evented to Intermediate level, done jumpers to Level 6, rode ponies in h/j shows, foxhunted, plays a little polo. Zach Fajen, web ad design Zach is a Junior at Denison University and also attends Parson's design school (in the Caribbean and NYC). He is skilled in Illustrator and Freehand.

Jen Pond, guest contributor "Shore to Shore Ride 2007" Jen writes a journal of her 250 mile trip across the state from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. Jen lives in Iron River in the U.P., has a boarding and training business. Jen is a Certified Pharmacy Tech. She and her husband George have one son Travis, a college student who rides and who took a lot of the photos for this article.

Dr. Trish Gearhart is a Veterinary Ophthalmologist working at Oakland Veterinary Referral Services in Bloomfield Hills, MI. She has been hunting her draft cross, Gund, for 6 years, first with Metamora Hunt, then with the Waterloo Hunt since 2002. She lives in Chelsea, MI with her husband, Chris who also foxhunts, and their daughter, Aurora.

Charity Steere, Guest contributor writing on the Montana hunting adventures of Michigan's Waterloo Hunt Club

A lifetime rider and foxhunter, Charity says "I learned to ride as a small child so I could foxhunt with my parents. I have hunted when and wherever possible ever since - Mi. NJ, NY, Il, Va, England." Charity has long been associated with Waterloo Hunt Club. She is a Whip, Chairwoman of the Waterloo Hunter/Jumper (A, AA) Shows, a Trustee of the Washtenaw Land Trust. She has been active in local environmental and land use efforts for over 30 years. She led the successful campaign for the first miles of Natural Beauty Roads in Jackson County. She is also a Master Gardener several times over.
