Dear Readers:

While this page gets a lot of viewers, I've found it impossible to update it and also update the rest of the site. But I love horse videos! Everyone loves horse videos! So I offer up the space to local videographers, professional and amateur. These videos can act as advertisements for professional services or simply show off your own horse. These videos can document competitions, lessons, specific riders in performance or training, and especially special horses doing special things. For example, it might document an event in your horse's life. A friend's horse got his name, Bud, because he was seen one morning tossing around the Bud box that blew off the highway into his pasture. The videos can also document horse-related jobs such as building a trailer. It might compare barn types. The only parameters are the video must be shot by someone from our region or be about horselife in our Great Lakes region. A video can be the feature on this page or it can be linked.

Scott Alder: Gymnastic for Green Horse

Video

"The purpose of this exercise is to teach the horse how to rock back and also how to recover when he's made a mistake in a combination. So if he gets into trouble, he knows how to get back to the rhythm and get himself out of trouble. This will help him analyze the situation when he's approaching a big element on a cross country course or a triple combination. They realize the need to be in the right frame to negotiate the obstacle."

The video is divided into four sections of 6-11 mgs each.
1. Intro and warmup
2. over pole
3. grid
